The Purnell Museum
is home to over 10,000 pieces that
highlight local history, including
artwork from the museum's namesake,
Julia A. Purnell. Come take a journey
through the museum's exhibits to learn
the story of Snow Hill and Worcester
County on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Our hours of
operation are from April through October,
Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm
and on Sunday from 1 to 4pm. With
general admission to the museum, on-site
visitor programs include exhibit and
artifact interpretation through various
means including written, pictorial,
spoken and audio taped information.
Some exhibits include interactive
components such as educational games
and touch tables. On-site and off-site
programs for the general public include
festivals, musical concerts, architectural
history, literature, folklife, art
and art history programs.
